Barcode Accessories for LaserDisc and DVD video disc players
Pioneer Barcode Systems provide the easiest and most convenient
means by which to implement complex search, play and special function commands
to Pioneer disc players equipped to use barcode readers. A complete
Barcode system consists of a Pioneer Industrial LaserDisc or DVD
video disc player, a Barcode Reader and software to produce and print Barcode
commands.
Pioneer Industrial LaserDisc and DVD players are delivered with
a printed sheet of basic barcode commands for use with a barcode readers.
Beyond these basic commands, more complex commands may be produced using
especially produced software. Using Barcode provides the following

BarKoder conforms to the LaserBarcode, LaserBarcode2, and Bar Code CD
standards, providing a wide range of control options for CAV and CLV laserdiscs
as well as CD-Audio discs.
All standard commands are available, including chapter search, frame
search, play, pause, as well as options such as audio channel select, audio
on/off and such. In addition to all standard commands, options for
special-effect commands such as slow-reverse play. The software
program can be used connected to a Pioneer LaserDisc player via RS-232
for rehearsal of codes, or with the computer only for printout.
Barcodes can be printed using any high resolution inkjet or laser printer,
saved for later use, or pasted into any Windows application. A two
line text description can be printed out with each barcode. Print
formats conform to Avery labels and support most Windows printer drivers.

All standard commands are available, including chapter search, frame
search, play, pause, as well as options such as audio channel select, audio
on/off and such. Access desired frame numbers from a LaserDisc, or
time codes from a CD or CLV LaserDisc, select from several command menus,
and output two lines of text for each barcode. Codes can be prepared with
any Pioneer Industrial LaserDisc player connected to the computer,
or be printed out directly from the computer for use separately.
Compatible with any Macintosh compatible printer. Barcodes can
be saved to separate Hypercard stacks which conform to page layouts for
Avery labels. Mac and Hypercard tools can also be used to cut and paste
barcodes directly into word processing documents.
